Registrations: EVs zoom past diesel vehicles in the Kochi district

More electric vehicles (EVs) have been registered than diesel vehicles in Ernakulam district, with a 30% difference. A total of 6,501 EVs were registered compared to 4,521 diesel vehicles, with the majority of registrations occurring within the city limits.

Registration of electric vehicles (EV) surpassed the registration of diesel vehicles in the district in the first five months of 2023. The number of EVs registered is 30% more than that of diesel vehicles.

As many as 6,501 EVs were registered as against 4,521 diesel vehicles in the first five months in Ernakulam, with the city limits witnessing more number of registrations.
