Tata Motors has announced the launch of the Sierra EV in the Indian market for the fiscal year 2026. This means it will be available at dealerships before March 2026. The Sierra EV will follow the Harrier EV, which is set to launch in FY25. The design of the Sierra EV has already been patented in India. Unlike the original Sierra, which was a 3-door model, the Sierra EV will be introduced as a 5-door model in India.

One of the highlights of the Sierra EV is its design. While retaining the iconic boxy shape of the original Sierra, the new model boasts a modern look. The EV features a sleek LED strip across the front, spanning the width of the car. The front bumper has been significantly revised and now includes larger black panels. An LED-backlit brand logo is centrally placed, adding a conventional yet stylish touch. There is also a hint of a chunky skid plate. While the alloy wheels are similar to those on the new Tata Safari, the production version of the Sierra may feature a different set of alloy wheels.

Tata Motors has also revealed that the Curvv EV and Harrier EV will enter the Indian market in FY25, with vehicles based on the Avinya platform to follow. Interestingly, there has been no update on the electrified version of the Altroz.
